Ansicht der Stadt Bern

Berne is the capital of Switzerland with a population of around 140,000. Its unique old town - the heart of Bern - is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The six kilometres of covered arcades, under which visitors find shelter from the rain while strolling and shopping, attract tourists from all over the world. Berne was built on a peninsula and is surrounded by the steel-blue Aare, which is why everything is close together and easy to reach. Hustle and bustle are foreign words to the people of Berne. Life is enjoyed in this city. Various forests and hills offer recreation within easy reach. The city of Berne is home to some of the most important museums in Switzerland. Numerous cellar pubs offer modern bars and cultural venues as well as speciality shops. See the wonderful city in a 360-degree perspective from the roof of Bern Cathedral.
