14th annual Conference of the Swiss Society of Sports Science (SGS)
We want to take a closer look at the following perspectives within the framework of the SGS Conference 2023:
- Sport science creates value: Sport science makes an important contribution to the generation and transfer of knowledge in organisations and institutions in school sport, health promotion, high-performance sport and mass sport.
- Sport knowledge creates value: The knowledge generated in research contributes to the further development of physical education, to the targeted promotion of health and physical activity, to the ethically justifiable optimisation of performance in elite sport and to people's active leisure time.
- Sport creates value: The special social value of sport is based on its multi-layered potential effects, e.g. personality development, the teaching of norms and values, the promotion of physical performance and health, as well as the contribution to integration and social cohesion.
We invite researchers from various sport science disciplines and other fields to submit a contribution in the context of these three perspectives and to discuss it in depth during the conference.
At the same time, we aim to network with players, organisations and institutions from different fields of sport.
